We softly opened our doors to Katy on January 26 and the response was nothing short of amazing! Our newest customers (and some old regulars from even the Montrose location) enjoyed the new atmosphere which includes our largest bar yet with private booth seating and a dining room full of New Orleans art and family memories.
The new Katy location at 406 West Grand Parkway South #400 was before home to two other Cajun joints. We took advantage of the existing brick and even kept some really cool crawfish signs to pay homage to a piece of history inside our new home of Tex-Orleans Cooking! The new Chargrill was a HIT among our oyster loving crowd as they ordered up BB’s FIRST EVER charbroiled oysters (at the other locations we offer baked oysters). YUM! We were happy that our larger kitchen allowed us the space for the chargrill.
BB’s Katy is the second largest location, after BB’s Briargrove which opened near the Houston Galleria in early 2014. The BB’s Katy menu features a new smaller menu with enough options to please even the most fickle guest.
Come out and try our new dishes: the Rockdale Redfish, blackened redfish and jumbo blackened gulf shrimp topped in a rich Andouille cream sauce; the French Quarter Plate, a combination of red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee and an Andouille sausage link (A dish for the CAJUN lover); the Dirty rice, savory Cajun rice with chicken, pork, bell pepper, onion, herbs and spices. Of course, in TRUE BB’s YUMNESS, we’ll have all the classics you love like po’boys, gumbos and grillades! Come on over to the NEWEST BB’s Café in Katy and tell all your Katy friends to follow the moon. It’s YUM time!
