BB's Tex-Orleans

Houston-area restaurants, boil shacks and ice houses are all getting in the mudbugs game for what looks like another banner year for seasonal crawfish boils.

Crawfish season began in late December and has been growing since, with restaurants, boil shacks and ice houses all getting in the mudbug game for what looks like another banner year. The season peaks in March, April and May and runs through late June or early July.

With Houston and Cypress locations, this New Orleans-themed restaurant revels in Cajun flavors with a Texas twist. Crawfish season offers plenty for crawdaddy fans with spicy boils (market price) that can loaded with mushrooms, corn, red potatoes, boiled onion, boiled eggs and a variety of sausage and boudin. Boils also include crab and shrimp, and the BB’s menu offers staples such as gumbo, etouffee, red beans and rice, shrimp and grits, and po’boys.
